‘We are traveling very fast. It is very peaceful. The clouds drift by far below us. The oceans seem very blue. He says, “Come on, let”s go back to the heavens you have visited before.” It does not seem fair. We seem to descend. I can see the vast plain in the distance as we approach it.’, ‘The great plain is very bare compared with the gardens I have seen in other places. A procession is coming. It stretches for a long way in the distance. There seems to be no hurry. It has come to welcome a brother who has just passed into these spiritual realms. I see that a large crowd is gathering to witness this solemn ceremony. The banners float out as they all walk along.
There is soft music of flutes and cymbals and hand drums. There is a wonderful sense of happiness and rejoicing. The head of the line stops and plants their banners firmly. The line continues to move forward toward this place and forms a crescent with the banners in the center of the crescent. It is huge, and there are many rows.
Flowers begin to fall. They are light green, and the whole sky seems to turn light green with the falling petals. There is a wonderful fragrance. And I hear a voice say “Welcome brother Jacob.” I look about and see the familiar faces I know in these regions. This ceremony is held at sunrise to symbolize the end of one cycle and the beginning of another cycle.
We go immediately to the shore of a great ocean. The waves look different than the waves of the oceans I have seen on earth. It is a different color blue…very deep blue. It reminds me of the Japanese artwork of the ocean.
Far out in the ocean, there are ships on the horizon. Now we travel over the ocean and find ourselves on one of the ships. The ship speeds along with more like an airplane than an ocean-going ship of earth. There are a number of individuals on deck. They are happily chatting about the voyage. I look around on the ocean to see how many ships there are. Someone tells me there are seven, although I do not see that many.
I am told that seven ships altogether are making the journey. Some have gone on before us. I have the feeling that they are workers having been called for some work. The talk does not sound like a sightseeing trip. What I hear is more anticipation of the task ahead. We speed over the water…something like a hovercraft. I have no sense of where we are or where we are going. I feel we have been traveling East, and the sky seems to have darkened.
Finally, I understand. These workers are going to prepare a festival in the lower heavens to celebrate the Solstice. These celebrations draw those who live there and give the workers an opportunity to explain about the schools that are available in the higher heavens.
Someone tells me that this ship is full of garlands and banners and all sorts of decorations they will be putting up. Someone points to the horizon. There are faint lights, and we are heading for them. In no time we reach the lights, and the ships stop and settle gently. Gangplanks are put down, and we descend with the others. All around there is much activity. Great pylons are being set in place. There are only a few up now.
The pylons become lit when they are erect. It is awesome to see everyone know exactly what to do and proceed to work in concert. Someone starts to sing, and soon everyone is singing. It is in praise of The Creator.
Most of the workers are dressed in white tunics. Some have a cord at the waist, some do not. We walk in the area being prepared for the celebration. We see familiar faces, but the only wave to each other for now. We go to the area where a large platform is being erected. My friend seems to know the number of workers and find that my friend has been working here with them until he came to meet me. They all begin to talk about the work at hand, and it is over.
