Thank You Obamacare – California Health Insurance Costs Spike Up To 88% In 2014

If you like your disposable income… forget it. Health-care insurance premiums for individuals in California rose between 22% and 88% in 2014 from last year, even after the federal health-care overhaul. This has led, as Bloomberg reports, to Proposition 45 – a bill that would grant regulatory say on proposed premium increases. “Unless Proposition 45 is passed we are going to continue to see dramatic year-over-year increases,” warned Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones. As Bloomberg reports, Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones said, a Democrat, is pushing a statewide ballot measure for November known as Proposition 45 that would give him regulatory say on proposed premium increases. The measure is opposed by insurance companies, which have said that it would actually cause rates to rise while harming the […] Read More

Tell Young People the Truth: E-Cigarettes and Vaping Flavors Help People Quit Smoking

It’s ironic that anti-smoking advocates are attacking a practice that helps people not to smoke. Elected officials and anti-smoking advocates need to re-think their knee-jerk reaction and hostility to e-cigarettes and vaping. It seems like every day we hear a new attack – yet these products are actually helping some people quit or cut back on the much more dangerous alternative of smoking tobacco. In May, a large study out of England that was published in the journal Addiction made worldwide news when they announced that smokers trying to quit were 60 percent more likely to succeed if they used electronic cigarettes than over-the-counter therapies such as nicotine patches or gum. Despite these promising results, politicians are grilling e-cigarette companies. In a major New York Times piece last week, Senator Jay Rockefeller of West […] Read More

This Phenomenon Could Replace Some Pharmaceutical Medications & Produces Remarkable Results

To demonstrate the true power of our thoughts, let us consider the placebo effect. The Power of Belief and the Placebo Effect The belief that you are getting help, such as a treatment for depression or cancer, can actually cause your condition to improve. It might be easier to see how placebos influence depression with its more direct connection to thoughts, but it is also true that thoughts have an effect on something as concrete as the growth of cancer cells or blood pressure.  A review of relevant literature by Straus and von Ammon Cavanaugh (1996) show how placebo effects are widespread, known  in medication, psychotherapy and even surgery! Interestingly, it is not only the patient’s but also of the physician’s belief that effects how […] Read More

Who Is Behind the Pain Killer Epidemic? Big Pharma, Of Course

The FDA approved Zohydro, with five to 10 times the abuse potential as its predecessor, OxyContin. There is good news and bad news when it comes to the nation’s decade-long opioid/heroin addiction epidemic. The good news is the government has cracked down on pill mills, strengthened warnings on pill labels and approved an injectable form of naloxone which reverses heroin overdoses and will reduce deaths in the hands of caregivers and police. The bad news is on the same day the FDA announced plans to tighten restrictions on hydrocodone combination products like Vicodin, it approved the long-acting drug Zohydro made from hydrocodone bitartrate which has five to 10 times the abuse potential of the infamous OxyContin. The FDA did so over the objections of many medical and public […] Read More

A Major Development In The Vaccine Autism Link Exposes The CDC’s Cover Up

In a new development involving a press release from congressman Bill Posey who has called out the CDC, the link between autism and vaccines takes another step closer to truth. To begin, and I truly believe this is incredibly important to embrace, one of the biggest issues we have with the vaccine debate and link to autism is the lack of level headedness on both sides of the coin. Human ego has led us to fight each other on a very serious and real issue as opposed to coming together and figuring out what the best course of action is. On one side, anti-vaxers are calling anyone who uses vaccines ‘stupid’ while on the other side pro-vaxers are calling anyone who doesn’t stupid and conspiracy theorists. […] Read More

Low Libido? 11 Drugs That Affect Your Sex Drive

By Dr. Mercola It’s estimated that 30-40 percent of people around the globe experience a lack of interest in sex for at least several months in any given year.1 The reasons for low libido are complex and run the gamut from stress and other emotional difficulties to physical problems, including erectile dysfunction. Most people do not seek help for chronic low libido, which is unfortunate because regular sex with a committed partner cannot be underestimated as a factor for reducing stress, bolstering self-esteem, and fostering feelings of intimacy and bonding between partners. A healthy sex life can provide for a longer, healthier and, most would agree, more enjoyable life, but many are missing out on this very primal pleasure. 11 Drugs That May Cause Low […] Read More

2013: Obama’s Healthcare Fix

By Stephen Lendman Steve Lendman Blog He’s got himself to blame. He sold a pig in a polk. He backed one of America’s greatest ever scams. It hugely enriches providers. It does so at the expense of giving everyone universal single payer coverage. More on that below. Obamacare is rife with problems. It leaves millions uninsured. It leaves millions more underinsured. It makes healthcare coverage more expensive. Mandated market rules include rude awakenings. Many consumers are left paying much more than they thought. Most plans include huge deductibles and co-pays. Doing so means tens of millions face unaffordable out-of-pocket costs. Federal subsidies for America’s poor are woefully inadequate. Millions live from paycheck to paycheck. Limited resources make expensive treatments unaffordable. Insurers have plenty of wiggle room. They can’t […] Read More

2013: Gummy Bears, Pharmaceutical Drugs And Vaccines Made Out Of People

By Michael Snyder The Truth Wins That is a really crazy headline, right?  Unfortunately, it is not a joke.  Right now, gelatin made with human DNA fragments is already being used in pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines, and scientists believe that recent breakthroughs will soon make it economically feasible to use such gelatin in consumer products such as gummy bears and marshmallows on a massive scale.  So are you ready for gummy bears made out of people?  They are coming.  And this is just the tip of the iceberg.  As you will read about below, scientists have also combined human DNA with mice, rabbits, goats, pigs, sheep and cows.  We have arrived at a time in human history when advances in technology have opened the door […] Read More

2000: Vaccine linked to autism?

New report points to dangers of MMR immunization By Julie Foster 2000 WorldNetDaily.com A new report by Dr. Harold Buttram, a practicing physician in Quakertown, Pa., suggests the recent increase in the number of autistic children could be caused by the combination measles, mumps and rubella, or MMR, vaccine routinely given to children at age 18 months — a phenomenon the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claim is highly unlikely. In a past study of autistic children, researchers found that 84 percent of the children had antibodies against a certain type of brain tissue, indicating that the immune system was destroying brain cells. The researchers also found the brain tissue antibody to be very similar to the antibody that’s formed against the MMR vaccine. Additionally, […] Read More

2004: Plum Island, Lyme Disease And Operation Paperclip – A Deadly Triangle

From Patricia Doyle, PhD dr_p_doyle@hotmail.com 8-21-5 Hello, Jeff – This is an excellent historical documentation of Plum Island’s history even before it became the USDA Plum Island. The history goes back to operation paperclip and to PROVEN tick research on Plum Island dating back to the 1950s. Plum Island also worked with lone star ticks. …I wondered how lone star ticks from Texas would get to my backyard in NY. The ticks had some help, i.e. germ scientists…and Plum Island.
