Dental Composites Linked To Behavioral Issues In Children.

Research published in the journal Pediatrics indicates that some dental composites — long promoted as overall safer than mercury-based amalgams — are having a significant negative impact on the psychosocial functioning of children. In fact, bisphenol-A based dental restorations were found to be worse than mercury-based amalgams when it came to learning impairment and behavioral issues. [i] The study used data from The New England Children’s Amalgam Trial, which, surprisingly, found that children randomized to amalgam restorations had better psychosocial outcomes than those assigned to bisphenol-A based epoxy resin composites (bisGMA) for tooth restorations. The new analysis aimed to “examine whether greater exposure to dental composites is associated with psychosocial problems in children.” The results of the study, which looked at a group of 534 […] Read More

Massive illegal vaccine scandal in China has citizens asking, ‘Is this genocide?’

As news of an illegal vaccine distribution scandal in China continues to emerge, outraged citizens are demanding to know why the government waited so long to inform the public that their children were at risk. According to the government, an illegal vaccine ring in operation since 2011, distributed $88 million worth of vaccines that had expired or been improperly refrigerated. This placed all children who got the shots at risk of disability or death. It is not known how many children were harmed by the illegal vaccines. The government has known about the ring since April 2015, but did not announce its knowledge until this March. “It’s been nearly a year and then they reveal this!” said one angry user on the micro-blogging network Sina […] Read More

Former science chief: ‘MMR fears coming true’

A former Government medical officer responsible for deciding whether medicines are safe has accused the Government of “utterly inexplicable complacency” over the MMR triple vaccine for children. Dr Peter Fletcher, who was Chief Scientific Officer at the Department of Health, said if it is proven that the jab causes autism, “the refusal by governments to evaluate the risks properly will make this one of the greatest scandals in medical history”. He added that after agreeing to be an expert witness on drug-safety trials for parents’ lawyers, he had received and studied thousands of documents relating to the case which he believed the public had a right to see. He said he has seen a “steady accumulation of evidence” from scientists worldwide that the measles, mumps […] Read More

The Disturbing Facts About Refined Sugar In Your Diet

Refined Sugar is close to zero nutrition value- Because of the industrial processes involved in manufacturing, sugar has practically no nutrition value: The vitamins and enzymes have become denatured (loose their molecular shape) and thus fail to contribute to the body’s metabolic requirements.Refined sugar is also devoid of mineral content. It is pure energy For those who frequently eat significant amounts of refined sugar products, this can lead to many problems. Because a large intake of sugar causes a sharp rise in blood glucose, the pancreas jets out high levels of insulin as a sudden response. The insulin converts glucose into glycogen as storage in the liver. However, the overreaction of high insulin more than converts the excess glucose. This results in the blood having lower […] Read More

More Love for Olives

Olives are one of those wonders of nature that are easy to take for granted, yet deserve special attention. Eating Dates Produces Powerful Health Benefits, Religion and Science Agree

Since biblical times, dates were to believed to possess profound healing properties, but only now is science catching up to confirm our distant ancestors knew exactly what they were talking about. When we apply the complementary lenses of modern scientific investigation and ancient wisdom, dates begin to look like both a holy- and a super-food of immense value. Here’s a neat example. From the Koran to Clinical Trials: Dates for Better Birthing In the Koran, the central holy book of Islam, Allah instructs the Virgin Mary to consume dates when she gives birth to Jesus.[1] And so, not surprisingly, dates are commonly referred to within the Islamic tradition as beneficial to pregnant women. We might chalk this up as “pre-scientific” magical thinking without basis in […] Read More

Nixon official: real reason for the drug war was to criminalize black people and hippies

The war on drugs: Is it a genuine public health crusade or an attempt to carry out what author Michelle Alexander characterizes as “the New Jim Crow”? A new report by Dan Baum for Harper’s Magazine suggests the latter. Specifically, Baum refers to a quote from John Ehrlichman, who served as domestic policy chief for President Richard Nixon when the administration declared its war on drugs in 1971. According to Baum, Ehrlichman said in 1994 that the drug war was a ploy to undermine Nixon’s political opposition — meaning, black people and critics of the Vietnam War: At the time, I was writing a book about the politics of drug prohibition. I started to ask Ehrlichman a series of earnest, wonky questions that he impatiently […] Read More
