FIRST – READ DIRECTIONS THOUROUGHLY! SUPPLIES NEEDED:
2-3 GALLON STAINLESS STEEL POTS W/LIDS
1 – STRAINER (FINE MESH)
1 – STAINLESS STEEL OR WOODEN SPATULA
1 – FUNNEL
1 – TIMER (Optional)
NEW AMBER GLASS BOTTLES W/CAPS
INGREDIENTS:
6 1/2 CUPS – BURDOCK ROOT (CUT)
16 oz. (1 lb.) – SHEEP SORREL HERB (Powder)
1 oz. – TURKEY RHUBARB ROOT (Powder)
4 oz. – SLIPPERY ELM BARK (Powder)
SECOND – MIX ALL INGREDENTS THOROUGHLY!
Do not use all of the materials, one-8 oz. measuring cup will make one 2-gallon batch.
(The 4 mixed herbs are enough for 10 2-gallon batches for a total of 20 gallons prepared.)
THIRD – DIRECTIONS TO PREPARE FORMULA:
You will need 2-gallons of distilled water and only one, 8 oz. measuring cup of mixed materials. DO NOT pack down or add until told to do so.)
BRING WATER TO A HARD BOIL (takes about 30 minutes.)
THE LID IS ON ALL THE T1ME (except while stirring)
PUT IN 8 oz. of Essiac herbal mix.
STIR AND BOIL HARD FOR 10 MINUTES (adjust flame as needed).
TURN OFF STOVE – LET SIT FOR 6 HOURS.
AFTER 6 HOURS, STIR THROUGHLY; LET SIT 6 MORE HRS. AFTER THE LAST 6 HOURS TURN ON HEAT AND BRING TO BOIL.
AT BOILING POINT TURN OFF THE HEAT, STRAIN INTO POT #2 THEN CLEAN POT #1 AND STRAIN THE LIQUID BACK INTO POT #1. IMMEDIATELY POUR THE LIQUID INTO BOTTLES AND PUT THE CAPS ON (12×16 oz. bottles).
THE LIQUID MUST BE BOTTLED HOT AND STORED IN A COOL DARK CABINET.
FOURTH – DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF ESSIAC FORMULA:
Take FOUR Tablespoons (20z.) of DISTILLED WATER & HEAT THE WATER.
To the heated water add FOUR Tablespoons (20z.) of Essiac Herb Liquid.
MIX AND DRINK.
To be taken at bedtime on an empty stomach. At least two hours after eating.
Can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach. If taken in the morning, do not eat for at least TWO HOURS after taking.
ONCE ESSIAC IS OPENED KEEP IT REFRIGERATED.
KEEP THE BOTTLE IN A BROWN PAPER BAG TO PREVENT EXPOSURE TO LIGHT.
