The stone circle seems as we left it, with the pillar of blue fire sinking and spreading outward through the water-lines. But there is something else there too, something we didn’t notice before: for though the ‘fire’ spreads easily along some of the lines, there is definite tension in one of them, where the fire moves onward only with evident difficulty.
