ROCHESTER, Minn. — Everyone knows that exercise is good for you, but what type of training helps most, especially when you’re older — say over 65? A Mayo Clinic study says it’s high-intensity aerobic exercise, which can reverse some cellular aspects of aging. The findings appear in Cell Metabolism. Mayo researchers compared high-intensity interval training, resistance training and combined training. All training types improved lean body mass and insulin sensitivity, but only high-intensity and combined training improved aerobic capacity and mitochondrial function for skeletal muscle. Decline in mitochondrial content and function are common in older adults. High-intensity intervals also improved muscle protein content that not only enhanced energetic functions, but also caused muscle enlargement, especially in older adults. The researchers emphasized an important finding: Exercise […] Read More

There are over 100 different types of arthritis, ranging from mild to quite severe. Arthritis commonly affects the joints as a result of inflammation. Arthritis can affect anyone at any age and nearly three out of five people living with arthritis are under the age of 65, this according to the Arthritis Society of Canada. One type of arthritis, in particular, is psoriatic arthritis. It is most commonly seen in individuals with psoriasis – a skin condition. In those cases, it is typical that psoriasis comes first, followed by psoriatic arthritis. Causes and risk factors of psoriatic arthritis Like many other forms of arthritis, psoriatic arthritis is caused when the body’s immune system attacks itself – meaning healthy cells are put under attack. This attack […] Read More
Learn all about auras, how to read auras, how to see your aura, aura colors and what each aura color means. All living things that need oxygen to survive have an aura. They generate a large magnetic energy field that can be sensed, felt and even seen around the physical body. We all can tell when someone doesn’t feel good to us, like they are full of anger or if they really live in their heart and feel deeply. You do not need to be psychic to feel/read an aura. If a person walks past, very close to you, they may unintentionally steal some of your energy. If someone suddenly reaches out and grabs your arm, they are interrupting the flow of energy around your […] Read More
1. YOU DOUBT YOURSELF Do you recognize that you’re doubting yourself more than you ever have before? Victims of narcissistic abuse often appear uncertain of themselves, constantly seeking clarification that they haven’t made a mistake or misheard something. This reactive adaptation to narcissistic abuse is because the narcissist is ALWAYS finger pointing and shifting blame to YOU for ALL of the ups & downs both in the relationship AND in the narcissist’s personal psyche. Because this relationship has NON EXISTENT boundaries, you will find YOURSELF constantly PUT UPON and FORCED to accept responsibility for things you didn’t do or say. This borrowed humiliation and shame is exactly what the narcissist intends for the victim to take from narcissist. Their own unfelt core of shame. 2. CONFUSION […] Read More
Orthomolecular Psychiatry shuns pharmaceuticals and uses mega-dose supplementation. It is much more effective than mainstream psychiatry’s pharmaceutical approaches. It works without the adverse physiological side effects of psychotropic pharmaceuticals and other psychological issues that often lead to more depression, anxiety, and ultimately suicides and murders. You may not know of this unique branch that is taunted and suppressed by the medical mafia. Orthomolecular psychiatry competes with Big Pharma’s grip on psychiatrists and other MDs who are not psychiatrists. Even worse, it is in the shadows of mainstream media and entertainment’s mass mind control conditioning of mental health. Pharmaceutical psychiatric drugs are profitable and covered by private and public insurers. Supplements are not, but treating with them does require close scrutiny of patients by willing doctors […] Read More
The brain is a complex organ, controlling our actions, cells, and emotions. When we mess with the brain, either inadvertently or with pharmaceutical medications, we can only expect a negative consequence in the process. If our body is exposed to toxins on a consistent basis, then there’s no doubt that our brain is too, and these environmental toxins–like aluminum and PCBs–are contributing to everything from Alzheimer’s disease to ADHD. [1] [2] Interfering with brain chemistry through the use of psychiatric medications is equally as harmful, more so than many people realize. Antidepressants and Violent Behavior: What Nobody is Talking About The mind is prone to neuroses, particularly during stressful or traumatic times. Using psychiatric drugs to “treat” depression is more often than not a bandaid […] Read More
Mike Barrett, Natural Society If sales for antidepressants such as Zoloft, Lexapro, or Prozac tell us anything, it’s that depression is sweeping the nation. But a new study questions the validity of most of these sales. The study has found that the majority of individuals on antidepressants – a whopping 69% – do not even meet the criteria for clinical depression. These individuals are likely just experiencing normal sadness and hardships that most of us experience. In addition to finding that nearly two-thirds of antidepressant-takers don’t meet criteria for depression, the researchers also note how 38% of those taking antidepressants for other psychiatric disorders do not meet the criteria. These include panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social phobio, general anxiety, and a number of other […] Read More
Shouldn’t researchers examine societal and cultural variables that are making us depressed and suicidal? For nearly two decades, Big Pharma commercials have falsely told Americans that mental illness is associated with a chemical brain imbalance, but the truth is that mental illness and suicidality are associated with poverty, unemployment, and mass incarceration. And the truth is that American society has now become so especially oppressive for young people that an embarrassingly large number of American teenagers and young adults are suicidal and depressed. In November of 2014, the U.S. government’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) issued a press release titled “Nearly One in Five Adult Americans Experienced Mental Illness in 2013.” This brief press release provides a snapshot of the number of Americans […] Read More
