Microsoft presents a new HoloLens gaming demo (at some new Microsoft operating system device’s conference ;-)). Also they update on release date and give some numbers! The new demo “Project X-Ray” was of course another eye-candy eye-catching presentation! After presenting AR-MineCraft the last time they show another entertainment & gaming application for their device that’s supposed to change the whole world of computing (leading to holographic computing anywhere without dedicated screens). But today it was a casual game for your own living room (or any room). Your hand is suited up with some wearable gun hologram (pretty cool and stable) and you move freely (as usual no wires) through your own space. Suddenly walls burst open and some robot invasion takes place (well, compare […] Read More

BY DAVID MONTAIGNE ⋅ CERN is amazing – and our scientists have already discovered many things about subatomic particles and how matter and energy are held together. But in opening new doors to see through their looking glass, what risks are involved? If Stephen Hawking is concerned, perhaps we all should be. We know that physicists have created small amounts of antimatter, and that it must be magnetically contained or it combines with matter and converts completely to energy. The explosive potential of this antimatter is far stronger and more explosive than nuclear fission or fusion. Have they also managed to create small amounts of dark matter, and is this any more dangerous? (Just how much – and how little – we know about […] Read More
Reality is what it is. Everything else is just a model. From Plato to Einstein to random humans like myself, we are all trying to figure out what makes this world tick. Sometimes I think I get it pretty well, but I know that I am still a product of my times, and therefore my view of reality is seen through the lens of today’s technology and state of scientific advancement. As such, I would be a fool to think that I have it all figured out. As should everyone else. At one point in our recent past, human scientific endeavor wasn’t so humble. Just a couple hundred years ago, we thought that atoms were the ultimate building blocks of reality and everything could […] Read More
What if I told you that YOU are reliving the same day over and over again and you are not even aware of it? A couple of days ago I watched the classic “Groundhog Day” with Bill Murray. I have watched this movie before, maybe 10 years ago, but now I understood it a little better. Despite the great old school comedy, the entertaining story and the amazing presence of Bill, I saw something else. I realized something and I was astonished. Did you know that we are ALL reliving the same day over and over and over again and we are not even aware of it?! I realized that the movie is not a fantasy at all. It is a great, powerful analogy […] Read More
Reality is not as obvious and simple as we like to think. Some of the things that we accept as true at face value are notoriously wrong. Scientists and philosophers have made every effort to change our common perceptions of it. The 10 examples below will show you what I mean. 1. Great glaciation. Great glaciation is the theory of the final state that our universe is heading toward. The universe has a limited supply of energy. According to this theory, when that energy finally runs out, the universe will devolve into a frozen state. Heat energy produced by the motion of the particles, heat loss, a natural law of the universe, means that eventually this particle motion will slow down and, presumably, one day everything will stop. 2. Solipsism. Solipsism is a philosophical theory, […] Read More
by Scott McMan, GhostTheory We’ve all heard of alternate dimensions and universes. Many believe we are just a frequency away from an alternate existence. Still others claim that beings from other dimensions pop in and out of our world at will, somewhat like The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Now a story comes to us out of Spain about a woman who claims to have woken up one day to find her life and past had changed. Unfortunately, she remembers a different reality than those who know her best. Lerina García, a 41 year old, well educated professional opened her eyes one morning to discover she was in what she later assumed to be an alternate universe existence of her own life. Garcia’s experience […] Read More
Morpheus: “You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” –The Matrix Whether you are aware of it or not, many in the West are born, grow, and die a slave to the Matrix. The 1999 movie of the same name starring Keanu Reeves questions what is real and what is simulated reality. While purely a fictitious work by the Wachowskis brothers, the movie touches on themes which challenge the current model of society and points to the problem of indoctrination and a lack of awareness amongst the populace. In search of answers, the mild-mannered Neo, a computer programmer, meets […] Read More
Julian Rose, Contributor Waking Times As the ugly realities of the control system become ever more apparent so does the dialogue increase about what can be done about it. ‘Non compliance’ features prominently as an important tool for counteracting the slide into slavish conformation with the powers that be. In general, as I see it, there are two main strands of choice available to those who wake-up and feel impelled to take a stand: the outward focussed activist approach and the one that favours withdrawal from the system and ceasing to comply with the status quo: ‘non compliance’. Practising both at once is a pretty tall order, but not impossible. In affect, they are two sides of the same coin. Both are valid ‘actions’ to counteract […] Read More
Reacting and resisting the matrix is in your DNA, because your ancestors — unknowingly — fought the invisible system, no matter what it threw at them. The time has come to let go. by Arno Pienaar, Dreamcatcher Reality Without reaction, there is no problem. Reaction is the start of any problem. In fact, reacting is the problem, for without it there can be no chain reaction to even more problems. It sounds so easy to just stop reacting to all the bumps and curveballs thrown at you by the matrix, isn’t it? But even when you think about not reacting it’s already too late, as you have, in fact, already reacted. And the thought that you should not react to a matrix-created situation is […] Read More
A strange tale, provided during an inquest, was published in the London Times on Dec. 11, 1873: A singular circumstance came to light in the Bristol Police Court, on Tuesday. Mr. Thomas B. Cumpston, and his wife, Mrs. Ann Martha Cumpston, of Virginia Road, Leeds, were brought up for being disorderly at the Victoria Hotel and with letting off fire-arms. It was stated in evidence by the landlady of the hotel, Mrs. Tongue, that the defendants took an apartment at the hotel, on Monday evening, and retired to rest about twelve o’clock. About four o’clock in the morning she was awoke by loud screams and shouts in their bed room, succeeded by a report of fire-arms. She went down and found that they had […] Read More
