Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg mentioned during a Q/A session he’s fascinated by a scientific research performed by the US government, with similarities of the movie the Matrix.

The owner of the social network giant is not optioning this technology out. “From 50 years from now, it would not be a crazy idea to think about it,” said Mark Zuckerberg.
Mark said there was already “crazy” scientific research underway which could help his dream become a reality.
The technique Mark Zuckerberg is fascinated about is known as Optogenetics, a precise manipulation of electrical and biochemical events, which allows the fine control of individual brain cells.
Susumu Tonegawa, a neuroscientist at the RIKEN-MIT Center for Neural Circuit Genetics, and his team encoded false memories in the brains of mouse by manipulating individual neurons, by placing the mouse in a chamber and give the mouse electronic shocks to encode a fear response.
The researchers shone light into the mouse brains to activate their memories of the chamber. Mark Zuckerberg is referring to the same scientific research performed by the government.
With this technology scientists have performed maze tests on mice, by letting one mouse walking through the maze, implant the memory of that mouse in the second mouse. Facebook has already pushed the envelope and introduced the Oculus Social VR.
Facebook Safety: CIA and NSA?
In 2009, the owner of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg said during the 2009 Crunchies Awards ceremonies in San Francisco that People have really gotten comfortable sharing more information and different kinds.
The giants Facebook, Apple and Google argued they had no idea the NSA was illegally absorbing customer data. In 2014, however, Rajesh De, the NSA’s general counsel, said the companies knew about the practice.
Edward Snowden had earlier revealed that the NSA’s notorious PRISM program had provided access to a number of US tech companies and social media services, including Facebook.
