The idea was that prisoners would be able to cope better with everyday life after their release. The method is called “The Path of Freedom”, and has received high praise from inmates and prison staff alike. Ulrika Lilljegren, former manager of the Högsbo prison facility, says that inmates seem to be more responsive to the other treatment programs if they are combined with yoga or meditation, for instance. My entire life I’ve been battling with my mind. A mind that loves to create and vividly imagine how things will and should go at an upcoming event, discussion, confession or anything with any level of importance. A mind that is so vivid that you can often find me talking as myself, to myself in this imagined reality as I get ready, lay in bed, or take a shower. One way of looking at this is to be in amazement of the mind’s creative potential. Think about it, it has the ability to mix past experience, hopes, characters, and so many other factors together to vividly create a version of something that hasn’t even happened yet. A version that is so compelling and cinematic […] Read More
by Paul Levy When you begin to wake up in the dream you realize that the seemingly external dreamscape, be it your night dream or waking dream, is not separate from you. More than that, you realize that the seemingly external dreamscape that you find yourself in is somehow mysteriously connected to your mind. Just like the quantum physicists tell us, there is no objective universe, and the very act of observing the universe changes the universe. When you realize this, you understand that how you view this seemingly external dream has an immediate effect on how the dream appears. The two processes are simultaneous, mutually arising processes that happen in no time. Once you realize that how you view the universe immediately impacts […] Read More
When you become lucid in your waking dream is the moment of death-rebirth where you have a shift of identity from the separate self, which experiences itself to be alienated from the universe to a much more expansive self which embraces and is connected to the whole universe. You begin to realize that a deeper you is “dreaming up” everything that happens to you, including these words. You realize that the deeper, dreaming self is having a dream and you are it! This is a vehicle that Paul Levy has developed to help people wake up. It is based on the realization that the same dreaming mind that is dreaming of your dreams at night is also dreaming of your life. Once you recognize […] Read More
by Gayla Smith – DreamLynx Intern If you have tried this but are just getting nowhere this technique may work for you. 1. Write your request in your Dream Journal. Keep it simple- “I wish to meet my Guides”. Don’t forget to add “I will remember this dream.” if remembering has been a problem for you. 2. Set the stage. Dreaming can be a very marvelous experience sometimes you should make a date with your dreams. Aromas and pleasant music with chimes, nature sounds or whale songs can aid in more productive dreams. I personally enjoy Steven Halprin’s music. If you wish you can even address your note like a letter and put it under your pillow or in a special box for Dream […] Read More

A doctoral student at McGill says computers could help humans achieve immortality. While the scenario may sound like an episode of the X-Files, Randal Koene envisions a network of uploaded brains. The question is, who gets a shot at prolonged life? by Kathy Zucca Despite medical advances, humans are still subject to the law of aging; at some point our bodies break down and we die. But death may not always be the end result. The latest in humanity’s quest for prolonged life involves scanning brain tissue and creating an equivalent representation of the mind. Though still in the theoretical stages Mind Uploading, also known by the more technical term “Whole Brain Emulation,” could one day allow people to continue living long after their […] Read More

by Lynne Levitan and Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D. “Out of body” experiences (OBEs) are personal experiences during which people feel as if they are perceiving the physical world from a location outside of their physical bodies. At least 5 and perhaps as many as 35 of every 100 people have had an OBE at least once in their lives (Blackmore, 1982). OBEs are highly arousing; they can be either deeply disturbing or profoundly moving. Understanding the nature of this widespread and potent experience would no doubt help us better understand the experience of being alive and human. The simplest explanation is that OBEs are exactly what they seem: the human consciousness separating from the human body and traveling in a discorporate form in the physical […] Read More
