THE NEW YORK TIMES. October 27, 1945. Page-1: 1,400-MILE SPEED IS ATTAINED BY SUPERSONIC FLYING DEVICES By Russell Porter Special to THE NEW YORK TIMES. BUFFALO, Oct. 26–Special flying devices in the supersonic field, built for the Government in cooperation with other organizations, have attained speeds of 1,400 miles an hour, almost twice the speed of sound, Dr. C. C. Furnas, director of the Curtiss-Wright Research Laboratory, revealed here today. Dr. Furnas said that he was speaking of true flying devices, not artillery shells or rockets and that they were being flown in tests “somewhere in the United States.” In some cases the devices have wings, and they do not depend on propellers or atomic energy for power, but this was about the only […] Read More

We all know the scenario, a military man is somehow involved in an incident with a UFO and the story is covered up with bogus stories and threats. However, now and then one of these old encounters eventually makes it’s way to the public. This is one of those stories that North Dakota Guard pilot, George Gorman had in the skies over Fargo one crisp autumn night that was never forgotten. It was a clear evening on Oct. 1, 1948, like Gorman, along with fellow Guard members flew cross country to Hector. While the rest of the group landed, Gorman decided to take the opportunity to get in a little extra time with his P51 Mustang. It wasn’t long before he was in the […] Read More

Adolf Hitler and other Nazi bonzes heeded predictions of pagan priests and astrologists. But little is known about the interest of the Third Reich in aliens. Ufologists in the West think that the issue was purposefully kept secret because a great share of the classified army and technology heritage of Nazis had been seized by countries of the anti-Hitler coalition. Much of what is said by western historians and ufologists may sound too fantastic and even absurd. Nazi researchers succeeded in the development of nuclear bombs, other up-to-date armaments and achieved a very high technological level in general. It is supposed that the success was thanks to contacts with aliens that were quite regular. Before Hitler came to power national socialists had been developing […] Read More
Gerald K. Haines An extraordinary 95 percent of all Americans have at least heard or read something about Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), and 57 percent believe they are real. (1) Former US Presidents Carter and Reagan claim to have seen a UFO. UFOlogists–a neologism for UFO buffs–and private UFO organizations are found throughout the United States. Many are convinced that the US Government, and particularly CIA, are engaged in a massive conspiracy and coverup of the issue. The idea that CIA has secretly concealed its research into UFOs has been a major theme of UFO buffs since the modern UFO phenomena emerged in the late 1940s. (2) In late 1993, after being pressured by UFOlogists for the release of additional CIA information on UFOs, […] Read More
From “The Day After Roswell”, Col. Philip J. Corso (ret) with William J. Birnes Simon & Schuster, Inc., ISBN 0-671-01756-X, 1997. [StealthSkater note: Philip Corso made the claim that most of the great innovations of the 20th Century were the result of back-engineering debris collected from the 1947 Roswell, New Mexico UFO crash. In his book — which the following was excerpted — he explained that the very “above top-secret” nature prevented him from revealing to selected industrial contractors the origin of the materials that he gave them. Working at the Army’s Foreign Technology Desk at the Pentagon, his job was to match recovered devices with those companies already doing similar research and encourage them to “take the ball and run with it” without […] Read More
BY MARK RODEGHIER Mark Rodeghier, Ph.D., is scientific director of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies in Chicago. This article appears in the Summar 1999 issue of the International UFO Reporter. Understanding where and when UFO sightings occur is one of the core activities for UFO investigators and organizations. Without that knowledge, it is difficult to believe we will ever make any advance in our understanding of the UFO phenomenon. Although the importance of gathering statistics on the number and type of reports is considered important, doing so has been honored more often in word than indeed. There are no complete yearly statistics for the United States because there is no central authority who can get the necessary cooperation from the diverse groups […] Read More

Broomfield, CO July 25, 2007 A determined effort to muddy the waters with claims of “fraud” concerning the extensive Top Secret Majestic, or MJ-12, documents that have leaked from multiple sources in recent years has failed several tests of credibility. Recently minted Bible professor Michael S. Heiser has issued press notices about his claims in association with a report he is selling on the Internet with promotion for sales of his novel concluding that UFOs are a plot by [censored] to take over the earth in the “the facade” of an Air Force colonel running Area 51. Heiser recently paid thousands of dollars to a document examiner, Dr. Carol Chaski to look at only 11 pages (about 5,000 words) of the 3,500 pages of […] Read More
Joint Recon Study Group 2008-08-05 News released today about a secret U.S. Government project to analyze an allegedly extraterrestrial craft has a unique twist. This craft did not crash in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. According to the anonymous sources, it crashed approximately 150 million years ago during the age of the dinosaurs. This information has been posted on the SERPO.org Web site, home to other reports about extraterrestrial visitation reportedly provided by current and former officials of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The conduit for the information is Victor Martinez, the moderator of an e-mail “stream” information service that focuses on topics related to anomalous phenomena. Martinez has reportedly worked for several U.S. Government agencies. In late 2005, Martinez wrote that these […] Read More
Irish government received a letter from the Irish Embassy in Washington in 1950. A staffer from the embassy sent a letter to the Department of External Affairs. Along with the letter was a book titled “The Flying Saucers Are Real,” by Donald Keyhoe. The letter is part of the ninth volume of Documents on Irish Foreign Policy project. It has a phrase indicating that the staff member says, “the book speaks for itself” and points out that it was doing well in the U.S. in terms of sales. A seminal book, this is a description best describes the book, which investigates various encounters of U.S. Air Force personnel, fighters and other aircraft against UFOs between 1947 and 1950. Included in the letter home are […] Read More
Sri Lankan politician claims that a team of white gentlemen tried to hide the truth that creationism is a blatant lie by trying to steal meteor fragments that prove extraterrestrial life. What makes this claim even more interesting is that the said white gentlemen were allegedly from an international space agency. Sri Lanka-based newspaper Daily Mirror reports that Minister Wimal Weerawansa announced to the crowd at the temple that the attempt to steal the evidence was part of an effort by western creationists to undermine the teachings of Buddhism. Weerawansa, who is the leader of a political party called Jathika Nidahas Peramuna, says that the team made an attempt to get this important evidence just moments after local scientists had discovered the meteor fragments. Is the picture above really a cloud? Honestly, that’s what the U.S. government wants you to believe. A new website is offering searchable access to the files of Project Blue Book – American UFO-hunters whose work has been described as ‘the real X-files’ and who dealt with thousands of pictures of extraterrestrial invaders throughout the 40s, 50s, and 60s. The blotchy images and files have been stored on microfilm – but include some truly weird images and accounts of events, such as the 1947 visitation which led to the term ‘flying saucer’ entering the language. There are also hundreds of unsolved mysteries – and others which are dismissed with not-exactly-convincing explanations, such as the idea that the 1951 New Zealand image above is a ‘lenticular […] Read More
