Notes: A very good friend and I served in the South African Defence Force in different units during 1989 / 1990, whilst SA was involved in the withdrawal from South-West Africa. (Namibia) E.T.B. was amongst the last to leave the large SADF base in Grootfontein, SWA and notes that he personally witnessed the entire floor of a mess hall shift to reveal an underground storage area. He was outside on patrol at the time, looking in through a window, and saw weapons of both large and small calibre (including 105mm Guns and armoured vehicles) being removed from within, which would indicate a cavern or tunnel of great depth or width below the main SADF Army base in South West. At the time E.T.B. was serving as a Lieutenant in our Military Intelligence. I have no reason to doubt my long-standing friend and shall endeavour to find out more as soon as I see him again.
