Beyond The North WindI tried to forget my thirst by busying myself with bringing up some food and an empty vessel from the hold. Reaching over the side-rail, I filled the vessel with water for the purpose of laving my hands and face. To my astonishment, when the water came in contact with my lips, I could taste no salt. I was startled by the discovery. “Father!” I fairly gasped, “the water, the water; it is fresh!” “What, Olaf?” exclaimed my father, glancing hastily around. “Surely you are mistaken. There is no land. You are going mad.” “But taste it!” I cried. And thus we made the discovery that the water was indeed fresh, absolutely […] Read More
Olaf Jansen’s Story My name is Olaf Jansen. I am a Norwegian, although I was born in the little seafaring Russian town of Uleaborg, on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Bothnia, the northern arm of the Baltic Sea. My parents were on a fishing cruise in the Gulf of Bothnia, and put into this Russian town of Uleaborg at the time of my birth, being the twenty-seventh day of October, 1811. My father, Jens Jansen, was born at Rodwig on the Scandinavian coast, near the Lofoden Islands, but after marrying made his home at Stockholm, because my mother’s people resided in that city. When seven years old, I began going with my father […] Read More

From the fantastic book from T. LOBSANG RAMPA – (some words are translated to norwegian and there may be some wordmistakes here because this is scanned from the book) In this extract Lobsangs guide first tell him about the roots of Christianity and the western peoples opinion on sex – and how the early Christian priests decided that sex was unclean. Again remember that this happened almost 100 years ago – but the wisdom here is timeless. We read from page 178 now: “Well Lobsang,” said my Guide when we had finished our meal, “tell me what it is that bothers you so?” “Honourable Lama!” I said in some excitement, “a trader passing through here, […] Read More
Hypnosis and telepathy On page 107 the young Lobsang Rampas teacher is describing the nature of hypnosis. ….”Come in!” said my Guide as I approached his door. “I thought you had gone back to sleep.” “Sir!” I said, “I have come to you for instruction. I am anxious to know the nature of hypnotism.” “Lobsang,” said my Guide, “you have to learn much more than that. You have to learn the basis for hypnotism first. otherwise you do not know exactly what you do. Sit down.” I sat, cross legged of course, upon the floor. My Guide sat opposite me. For a time he seemed lost in thought, and then said: “By now you should […] Read More

He Lobsang Rampa – had long time ago – in many earlier incarnations – been prepared for this task. And the preparations continued in the young life of Lobsang in Tibet, which many of his books deal with. Also this book. His task was to bring some of the wisdom known by the few initiated of Tibet, to the west of […] Read More
The following account appeared on page 52 of the Nov. 1954 issue of FATE magazine. “In March, 1954, a French Jesuit priest in Sorata, Bolivia, told a strange story of an exploring trip he had made in the cavern of San Pedro on 20,000 foot Mount Illampu of the Andes chain. “The cavern must be entered on all fours through a narrow passage which widens after a few yards and leads into an immense cavern filled with stalagmites and stalactites. At one end of the cavern is a subterranean lake. “The French priest claimed to be the first person to cross to the far end of the lake. After several hours of rowing a small boat by artificial light, he related, the cave narrowed […] Read More
In his book THE MAJIC PRESENCE, G.W. Ballard describes a strange experience which occurred to him and some companions while exploring a cave in Wyoming. While visiting Colorado he met a Mr. Daniel Rayborn. From there they traveled to the ‘Diamond K Ranch’ in Wyoming, one of the Rayborn mining properties, where the experiences described in the book began. There, he met Rayborn’s son Rex, an his daughter Nada. Some days later, they planned to spend the day exploring Table Mountain, one of their favorite haunts in the Wyoming Rockies. They mounted their horses, one of them an Arabian stallion which had been a gift to them from an Arab Sheik. They waved good-by to […] Read More
The following is a story which appeared on pages 222-242 of “BLACK RANGE TALES”, by James A. McKenna. Due to its length I will quote only those parts of the story relevant to the subject-matter of this manuscript… “…In the forepart of the year of 1882, I left Lake Valley where I had been prospecting, and headed for Eureka, a recent discovery in the Hachita Mountains, which lies in the southwestern part of Grand County in the border country of New Mexico. “The Santa Fe and Southern Pacific Railroads were at that time working towards the spot where the town of Deming now stands, expecting to meet there before long. If water could be found near the junction […] Read More
