What is UFOLOGY?

Most would describe it as the study of UFOs.

I do.

Recently, however, it has become so ever-increasingly clear that many see it as a hobby or a pastime.

Some, even as a game.

As I reflect on some recent events, I am left wondering just how we have made it this far. Additionally, with some recent hard-hitting blows, I am also wondering how long it will take to return to at least the place we were only 3 short months ago.

While UFOLOGY itself is growing exponentially, the seriousness and effectiveness are being knocked down fast. I think faster than the growth, and that does bother me. One other thing that is rapidly gaining on UFOLOGY is the size of egos.

I see now a spitting duel between who can be the best, and who can beat the clock. This saddens me, as my goal has always been to “spread the truth like a virus” as originally stated, and lived by the original RISKERS founders. Now, some are becoming scared to pass anything along, even if they truly believe that it may be the truth. They are scared to be scoffed, laughed at, and ridiculed.

What I think saddens me the most is the fact that the UFOLOGY field is now ready to laugh on others. Remember folks, for years we have been the ones who got laughed at by scientists. We were the ones who were told we were crazy, and nothing but a bunch of trailer-home, inbreeding losers. Our theories DID NOT matter to science only 5 years ago, and we were scoffed. We worked together, and now, we are being listened to. While slowly, it is beginning to have a serious effect.

Now that we are being taken seriously, do we have nobody else to scoff but ourselves? Why are we creating fights amongst the ranks? Regardless of beliefs, do not each and every one of us have the same goal in the long haul? Because of this, we have created things like the UPN Abduction Production, and others who mock us as any serious force. I truly hope science will not turn their backs on us after this. While I do believe it was wrong of UPN to hastily make a decision like they did, if they have been following UFOLOGY for even the last 90 days, they may think we were all doing it for fun anyway.

On another topic, something a little more serious and to the actual point of UFOLOGY. I have received numerous e-mails of late, from people who are actually scared of what is happening. Some, whose names I agreed to keep confidential, are considering moving to remote countries, islands, etc. What I am referring to is the current state of the world. UFO sightings have increased at a rate that is actually higher that the increase in world population. (www.odci.gov) MORE THAN THE INCREASE OF THE POPULATION?

That means that more UFO’s are being spotted, than children being born. Think about that for a moment. A child is born about every 6 seconds in the world. Does that mean a UFO is spotted every 5 seconds, 4? Who knows? We don’t, and I would like to know why.

On August 12, 1997, I was contacted by an associate I work with, about a friend of his who got drunk, and literally set-up camp near Area-51. I was skeptical, but he said he and his wife has the camera, so I agreed to take a look. WOW, did I see some of the most spectacular footage I have ever seen that day. Something of the likes I have never seen. My associate convinced them to go on the air, on a local radio station here in Denver. I was invited, but chose not to go, because this was a classic rock station, doing a $1 million reward for proof of a UFO.

They went on the air, did not get the $1 million, got some fame, but then….gone. Very strange. These people were hard-core Colorado native Harley Davidson enthusiasts. Sure, they rode off away from here on their bikes, right? No, their bikes stayed here. And for the pictures, 2 days before my associate was scheduled to get them back to the couple (he was doing some 3 dimensional rendering on them), his life, his wife’s life, his car, his home, and his well being were threatened by the couple, who wanted their pictures back immediately.

He did take them back, but ended up being chased off the property by the couple, on motorcycles. Why? I am not sure. All my associate ever did was help them. He got them the radio spot, he was going to render the photos free, he got them in touch with some top UFOLOGISTS, and then threats? HUH? Needless to say, my associate will no longer be a part of UFOLOGY? Why? The threats scared him? No. He does not believe? No. Because he has pegged many UFO enthusiasts, even UFOLOGY with what those two people did to him. I don’t honestly blame him.

I vote we pull it together soon. Now. It’s time to stop the debunkers, the intelligence mis and dis informants, those who play games with our lives. Keep the skeptics, we need them. Hell, we need someone to prove wrong in the end, right. This is my vote, I hope I have some support on it.
