Cylindrical UFOs’ have been witnessed on many occasions to sit stationary in the sky for very long periods of time. Several have been witnessed to return the following day to the same location, as if they have not yet finished their surveillance.
These locations are generally sensitive military installations, large bodies of water, electrical or petroleum plants.Other cylindrical objects have been observed displaying erratic behavior,such as zipping from horizon to horizon in the blink of an eye, spinning at high speed and swinging back and forth in a pendulum motion.
The size range of the cylinder craft varies greatly from approximately 10 to 250 feet in length. Daytime colours most popularly associated with these craft are gray, silver metallic, reflective shiny aluminum, black, yellow, white, or red.
During the evening hours the craft seems to glow orange, red or yellow/white. One fascinating aspect of the cylindrical craft is that is has often been witness to “split”. This would account for reports where the craft seems jointed or banded.
These parting segments then appear to fly off in different directions. Rarely, has any noise been witnessed from this type of Ufo.

I saw a smoky gray cylinder with blue vertical stripes dividing the cylinder into thirds. I have no idea of the altitude since I do not know the actual size, but when I held my fist at arms length there was still a full inch showing on both sides of my hand.
The object traveled slowly from west to east directly over my home. It was at 08.40 and I was leaving home for work as a federal security officer. I looked into the sky to check out the contrails. There were absolutely no clouds in the sky and only a few contrails. Just below the contrails I noted a smoky gray cylinder floating through the sky from west to east. It appeared to be about the same size as a 747 would appear at about 5,000 feet. It proceeded to fly directly over my home.
I noted also that it was divided into thirds by blue vertical lines. As it went behind a tree in the yard, there was a flash of some type of energy in the middle third of the cylinder. I then stepped to the other side of the tree to try to pick it up as it came out the other side, but it never came out. There had been no tail or wings and no noise of any kind. There was also no wind that might have moved any noise away from me. I tried to convince myself that it was just a jet liner, but I watch jets in the sky frequently and have never seen anything like this before. There was something very strange. The image almost seemed to be a computer animation and the flash of “energy” in the middle section looked just like a cartoon drawing of an explosion.

I was driving out to my new home in a new subdivision on the north side of Gallatin, TN around lunch time.
I was going up a small hillside road when I saw an object flying slowly in the sky about a quarter of a mile away from me. It was a cloudless sunny day and this object did not cast any reflection in the sky. It was a bright metallic silver cylindrical shaped object. It was flying very slowly and was almost hovering over a wooded area where workers, who were at lunch, have been building a new road into this secluded subdivision.
I turned my car off and stepped out the car for a better look and to see if it might be an airplane. The colour and shape of the object was unlike any aircraft I have ever seen. The object made no sound. Nor did it leave any contrail. The object was about 1,000 feet high in the sky. Within about 10 seconds later, the object disappeared right before my eyes.
That is the best way I can describe how it left my sight of view. I am a 37 year old white male. I am a successful business professional and I am not taking any medication of any kind. I seldom drink alcohol and have not had a drink in several weeks. I have never seen or reported anything like this before. This was not an airplane.

I was out having a cigarette break at work. Noticing the colours at the beginning of the sunset, I noticed a bright yellow, almost white object coming out of the western sky. Knowing that this was probably the reflection of the sun on an east bound jet, I didn’t give it much thought, as there were several passenger jets heading both east and west bound that I could see also. It was partially cloudy, but no heavy cloud cover and it was mostly clear out. What began to seem strange to me, was that none of the passenger jets that I could see were “reflecting” the sunset in the same manner.
While I watched a little closer, unlike the jets that I could also see, this object did not have any wings visible. All through this time no wings were seen at all, and the object continued heading east in a straight line and at a steady, continuous speed. (About the speed of the jets I was seeing on either side and going in east and westerly directions). It did seem to be going slightly slower, as some eastbound jets going to DIA had passed on either side. At no time was their any variance in the colour. It maintained a bright yellow, almost white glow. As it passed overhead, I still did not see any wings, or hear any noises above the traffic on the I-25 to my west, and it was then that I saw that the middle of the cylinder shaped object was narrower than the ends, as if it was 2 cylinders that had a “docking area” that met in the middle.
Again, it never deviated it’s speed or direction. As it passed over me, going to the east, I saw that there was a small cloud that had appeared to be in a direct line with where the object was heading. At no time were there any running blinking lights as there were on the passing aircraft.
When the object went into the cloud, I kept watching to where I thought that it would come out. Any other aircraft that I have watched would be through that small cloud in 3 – 5 seconds, max. I saw nothing at all for over 30 seconds, and when I saw the light again, it appeared to be about half the size, still a bright yellow and then after about 10 – 15 more seconds, it disappeared. It never deviated in direction or speed, and after it had “halved itself”, it just disappeared.
No blink out, no quick rise or fall, it was just not there anymore. I lit another cigarette and ran through what I had seen and no “logical” explanation came to me. When it passed overhead, it seemed to be probably twice the length of a jetliner and probably one and a half to two times the girth of an average airliner.
