WWII German Flying Disk Schematic Drawing Found

The Ho-IX Maximum Speed 600+ mph Kenneth Arnold and his drawing of what he saw in 1947 Incredible as this operational Horten design was, it did NOT represent the pinnacle of German advanced WWII flight technology. There were a number of brilliant German scientists and engineers working on flying disc-shaped craft, many of which used traditional rocket/jet propulsion techniques…but some apparently used methods far in advance of anything commonly known at that time. Or now, for that matter Dr. Richard Miethe whose group allegedly built saucer craft at Breslau came to Canada after the war and worked on saucer designs with the A.V. Roe Company on a joint American-Canadian project which ‘officially’ produced only a barely functional ‘hovercraft’ type ‘saucer.’ Most researchers today consider […] Read More

The Roswell Incident

Roswell: Clashing Visions of the Possible By Michael Swords Roswell is obviously a highly divisive topic in ufology. People accept or reject it, often emotionally, for reasons which seem to the listener unclear, even after patient attention. The possibility of a crashed disk, and the necessary astoundingly successful security required, alternatively violates or coheres with visions of reality held dear by the loudest, and occasionally less civil, discussants. But these deeper visions of reality, or what the writers and speakers of these schools want to believe, remain largely undescribed. This paper would like to pretend for the moment that such individuals and their constricting views of reality are not part of the serious Roswell exploration, as I believe they are not, no matter how […] Read More

1988: GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT IN THE UFO COVERUP

(based on FOIA Papers and personal testimony) Version 2.09 COPYRIGHT SEPTEMBER 8, 1988 by PEA RESEARCH ULTRA MAJIC BBS, (916)684-5578 …………………………………………………… Apr. 17, 1897..Aurora, TX: An airship supposedly crashed into Judge Proctor’s (nonexistent) windmill and disgorged the mangled body of a little man believed, for unspecified reasons, to hail from the planet Mars. This (supposedly) turned out to be a publicity stunt for the town, whose population and economy were on the decline. 1922………..County Donegal, Ireland: Irish Republic Army man, Lawrence Bradley, wrote to the editor of “Watford and West-Hersts Post” magazine (4/30/64) that while he was fighting a scattered rear- guard, mostly in the mountains of Donegal, he came upon a cave with vegetation at the entrance that had been scorched. The only occupants in the cave were the sick and the […] Read More

1997: UFO Contacts and Abductions

by Ing. Gustavo Nelen 50 years have gone by since Kenneth Arnold saw “flying saucers” from his private plane over Washington state. In the intervening years, we hardly know anything else about the matter. Nonetheless, the UFO phenomenon has in some way managed to become more extensive, invading fields such as the psychic and the religious, aside from such rumors as the Roswell crash or the ever-present Hangar 18, which are related to the “great UFO cover-up” allegedly perpetrated by the U.S intelligence community. From George Adamski onward, a wave of rumors involving contact by apparently extraterrestrial beings sweeps across the country. They were tall and blonde, hailing from the planet Venus, and came in peace, acting as our elder brothers. Between 1968 and […] Read More

The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects: Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2: THE ERA OF CONFUSION BEGINS: On September 23, 1947, the chief of the Air Technical Intelligence Center, one of the Air Force’s most highly specialized intelligence units, sent a letter to the Commanding General of the then Army Air Forces. The letter was in answer to the Commanding General’s verbal request to make a preliminary study of the reports of unidentified flying objects. The letter said that after a preliminary study of UFO reports, ATIC concluded that, to quote from the letter, “the reported phenomena were real.” The letter strongly urged that a permanent Project be established at ATIC to investigate and analyze future UFO reports. It requested a priority for the Project, a registered code name, and an over-all security classification. […] Read More

The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects: Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5, THE DARK AGES: The order of February 11, 1949, that changed the name of Project Sign to Project Grudge had not directed any change in the operating policy of the project. It had, in fact, pointed out that the project was to continue to investigate and evaluate reports of sightings of unidentified flying objects. In doing this, standard intelligence procedures would be used. This normally means the unbiased evaluation of intelligence data. But it doesn’t take a great deal of study of the old UFO files to see that standard intelligence procedures were no longer being used by Project Grudge. Everything was being evaluated on the premise that UFO’s couldn’t exist. No matter what you see or hear, don’t believe it. New […] Read More

1947: ARMY GETS AROUND TO CHECKING `FLYING DISC’ AND IS MYSTIFIED

Article from the: St Louis Post-Dispatch July 3, 1947 _______________________________ ARMY GETS AROUND TO CHECKING `FLYING DISC‘ AND IS MYSTIFIED WASHINGTON, July 3 (UP)- Army research experts can’t explain the ” flying saucers” reported seen in several western states, but they are investigating, they said. The Army air forces has checked all of their research authorities and contractors, but none of them knew or could suggest anything concrete about the “saucers. At first, Army officers laughed off the reports. Now they are beginning to take them at least a little seriously. At any rate, the Air Research Center at Wright Field, O., is looking into the reports, and all service intelligence agencies are at work on them. Army experts suggested-as a bare possibility-that some civilian […] Read More

1995: A Short Introduction to Ufology

Dennis Stacy, Editor, MUFON UFO Journal original source The acronym UFO – for Unidentified Flying Object – is so prevalent and commonplace today, that it’s easy to forget the term is not even fully fifty years old yet. There is even some dispute about the acronym’s exact origin. In his classic account of his years spent as the director of Project Blue Book – the Air Force’s official UFO “investigation” agency – Capt. Edward J. Ruppelt says unequivocally that “UFO is the official term that I created to replace the words ‘flying saucers’” (Report on Unidentified Flying Objects, Doubleday, 1956, p. 6). Presumably, this would have been sometime between 1951, when Ruppelt took over Project Grudge, later renamed Blue Book, and September of 1953, […] Read More

2000: Earthbound Hypothesis and the New Breed of Ufologist

Shane Hill, 7-21-2000 This article is part off a small series dealing with the suspected origins of UFO’s. There are three main theories the EBH or Earth Bound Theorem,. The OWH or Off World Theorem which proposes that UFO’s are from outer space. Finally the Mystic or occult theory which can be divided into two distinct areas of belief or opinion, the occult being that UFO’s are from other realms. Purveyors of this theory tend to raise numerous scientific sounding arguments for their position. Interestingly science itself is now theorizing that there are indeed other dimensions. Lastly the religious or mystical proponents who believe that UFO’s are the work of the devil himself. All three of the categories for theory have numerous sub theories […] Read More

Strange Connections

Shane Hill As with any field of study, ufology should be looked at through the eye of scientific inquiry. Regardless of how those that call themselves regular scientists see it, we must see it that way. Had we been taking the right approach since Kenneth Arnold had his sighting then perhaps ufology might not have the stigmata associated with it that it does. Gather enough facts, place them all together ask the right questions then things start to appear, small similarities, patterns, or clues start to creep out from the mountains of data that most of us seem to collect. This is one reason I recommend a database, every enthusiastic hobbyist or serious investigator will have a database. Many have designed their own, today’s […] Read More

1968: Why Don’t Pilot’s See UFOs?

James McDonald, Statement on UFOs to U.S. House Committee on Science and Aeronautics, 1968 Symposium on UFOs This question may come in just that form from persons with essentially no knowledge of UFO history. From others who do know that there have been “a few” pilot-sightings, it comes in some altered form, such as, “Why don’t airline and military pilots see UFOs all the time if they are in our atmosphere?” By way of a partial answer, consider the following cases. (To facilitate internal reference, I shall number sequentially all cases hereafter treated in detail.) Case 1. Boise, Idaho, July 4, 1947: Only about a week after the now-famous Mt. Rainier sighting by private pilot Kenneth Arnold, a United Air Lines DC-3 crew sighted […] Read More

1990: Cultural Background of UFO Abduction Reports

copyright (c) 1990 by Martin S. Kottmeyer [Reprinted from “Magonia” Magazine, Jan. 1990, by permission of the author] Culture is an admixture of repetition and variation, convention and creativity, signals and noise. It is ever new and forever old as humanity relives old dreams and nightmares or forgets and forges new ones. Part of the delight of history is the recognition that however new a given event appears, traces of the past can generally be discerned. If the UFO phenomenon is an artifact of culture one would reasonably expect that cultural antecedent could be recognized for the major features it presents. Extraterrestrials, however, should be independent of culture and if they are newly arrived their characteristics should represent a discontinuity with the past. Abduction […] Read More

1949: Project Saucer

NATIONAL MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT OFFICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION Washington 25, D. C. MEMORANDUM TO THE PRESS           NO. M 26 – 49 IMMEDIATE RELEASE APRIL 27, 1949 RE 6700 Ext. 3201           The following report is a digest of preliminary studies made by the Air Material Command, Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio, on “Flying Saucers.” PROJECT   “SAUCER” On Tuesday, June 24, 1947, a Boise, Idaho businessman named Kenneth Arnold looked from his private plane and spotted a chain of nine saucer-like objects playing tag with the jagged peaks of Washington’s Mt. Ranier at what he described as a “fantastic speed.” Arnold’s report set off a veritable celestial chain reaction.   And within a few days, the fabulous “flying saucers” had spun into the national spotlight.  […] Read More
